The India vs. England Test match at Headingley in July 2025 has smashed streaming records on JioHotstar. The platform recorded a staggering 89.1 million viewers, with a total watch time of 13.7 billion minutes. This marks the beginning of the WTC 2025-27 cycle for both teams, with Shubman Gill debuting as India's new captain.

The second Test is scheduled to begin on July 2 in Birmingham. The remaining four matches are anticipated to set new benchmarks for digital sports consumption.

The ICC World Test Championship Final 2025, which saw South Africa clinch their first ICC title against Australia, also achieved remarkable viewership figures. It became the most-watched Non-India Test match on linear TV, accumulating 2.95 billion minutes of watch time and reaching 47 million viewers.

On JioHotstar alone, the WTC Final 2025 attracted 41.4 million viewers, establishing a new record for a Non-India Test match on the platform. This surpasses the previous record set by the India vs. Australia WTC Final in 2023.
