The ICC has shifted the venue for the Women's Cricket World Cup, replacing Bengaluru with Navi Mumbai, which will now host up to five matches, including a semi-final and potentially the final. The tournament will span five venues across India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced changes to the venues for the upcoming ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, with Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium replacing Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The tournament, featuring eight teams, will run from September 30 to November 2 across five venues in India and Sri Lanka, with Navi Mumbai set to host five matches including a semi-final and potentially the final.The other venues for the 13th edition of the Women's Cricket World Cup remain unchanged - ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Holkar Stadium in Indore, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, and R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

SUBSCRIBE NOW!The DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will host three league matches, one semi-final, and could potentially stage the final on November 2.The first semi-final will take place on October 29 in either Guwahati or Colombo, while the second semi-final is scheduled for October 30 in Navi Mumbai. Should Pakistan qualify for the knockout stages, they will play their semi-final match in Colombo.
Additionally, if Pakistan advances to the final, that match will also be held in Colombo on November 2.A specific provision has been made for an India-Pakistan semi-final scenario, which would be staged as the first semi-final in Colombo. In the event Pakistan do not reach the semi-finals, all knockout matches will be conducted in India.ICC Chairman Jay Shah expressed his confidence in Navi Mumbai as a venue for women's cricket: "Navi Mumbai has emerged as a genuine home for women's cricket in recent years. The support it has received during international fixtures and the Women's Premier League has been remarkable, creating an atmosphere that elevates the players and inspires fans. I am certain that the same energy will define the big matches of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup as it returns to India after 12 years."Shah further emphasised the significance of this tournament: "We stand at a pivotal moment in the journey of the women's game. This World Cup has the potential to be remembered as one of those defining milestones that shaped the sport's future, not only in India but across the cricketing world. While unforeseen circumstances required us to adjust the schedule and replace a venue, we are pleased to now have a line-up of five world-class venues that will showcase the very best of the women's game. The stage is set, and I am confident this tournament will capture imaginations and inspire a new generation of fans."
